Axia Futures started with a group of ambitious individuals who appreciate independent thinking and most importantly the value of ethics, honesty and friendship. We are a community of traders who are also close friends that share the same ideology on how to develop trading talent. For too long, training programmes across the city have become stale and dormant by not evolving with the changing market environment. We know that to stay ahead of market opportunity, we need a community that shares this ethos of constant reinvention and that is why we have started Axia Futures. We are not only Educators but also Traders and thus what is best for us will ensure the best for our community.
As a collective group of successful traders, with a combined experience of 50 years on our London Trading Floor, we know what is required to be successful so we ensure that all parts of our training reflect these fundamental characteristics.

With 8 years of experience as a professional futures trader, Demetris is one of the most consistently profitable traders in the industry. He is highly respected in the trading community for his exceptional abilities in executing leveraged trading positions in the most volatile global macro events.
Demetris is also instrumental in the development of our young traders and leading our senior traders weekly skills workshop. Prior to Trading, Demetris worked in Investment Banking Mergers & Acquisitions at HSBC.

After 13 years in the futures industry, exclusively in the proprietary domain, and with half of that time being involved in developing trading teams across Europe, Alex wanted to change the very foundation of how traders could up the ante in performance.
Alex’s core belief framework of enhanced trader performance was to leverage technology to enable knowledge share amongst traders of varying levels of experience by making geographical boundaries digitally permeable. This gave birth to Axia Futures, which was founded alongside a group of like minded friends who shared the same value principles of elite training and performance.

STEPHANOS MAVROMMATIS
Head of Operations
Stephanos leads the day-to-day operations and resourcing of Axia Futures. He has a background in Business Intelligence consulting and project management and has worked for global organisations including Atos and Accenture. His 10-year experience in managerial posts coupled with his decision-making and problem-solving skills, have greatly contributed to the setting up of Axia Futures.
He holds a bachelor degree in Accounting with Business Information Systems and a Masters in IT and Management.

RICHARD BAILEY

Richard started trading in 2008 using a technical based trading strategy which was quickly enhanced to include fundamental, event based strategies during that volatile period. Richard’s ability to recognise technical patterns and continually develop new technical trading ideas has benefited many who have traded with him.
This proficiency in generating new ideas and understanding what it takes to build a career from scratch has enabled Richard to create numerous trading development skills-based training programmes. He delivers the Career Course which has been built by drawing on skills and ideas from all the successful traders at Axia Futures, in order to give traders the best practices to enhance their careers.
